The International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA) is a multi-faceted organization for professionals in all aspects of the hospitality industry.
Our vision is to continue serving the industry as an individual membership based organization promoting people, programs, businesses, and services that consistently raise the level of professionalism within the industry.
IFSEA was founded in 1901 and remains the oldest food service professional association in the industry today. The Association is as diverse as its membership, which is comprised of hospitality industry professionals, executives, mid-level managers, culinary specialists and certified chefs, military foodservice personnel from all Branches of the Armed Forces, aspiring foodservice students, and affiliated business leaders at the local, national, and international level. IFSEA does not have a political action agenda or focus, however the Association will endorse legislation that is favorable to the foodservice industry and its business environment.
We currently have about 25 branches and 2500 members of IFSEA and the MHA.
IFSEA core focus areas are professional networking opportunities, mentoring, education, industry recognized certification and food safety programs, and community / humanitarian service. Local Branch (chapters) drive this focus, and these same core principals have application / benefit for our global members (at large) that belong to IFSEA where a local chapter may no
