The Green Restaurant Association? (GRA), a national non-profit organization, provides services in research, consulting, education, marketing and community organizing. The GRA utilizes a collaborative strategy that involves restaurants, manufacturers, vendors, grassroots organizations, government, media, and restaurant customers. The GRA's model provides a convenient way for all sectors of the restaurant industry, which represents 10% of the U.S. economy, to become more environmentally sustainable.
The GRA researches practical solutions to reduce the environmental impacts of the restaurant industry. We serve as a bridge to connect restaurants with environmentally-preferable products and services. Our research includes communicating with manufacturers, distributors, utilities, government agencies, waste collection companies, and other organizations. From this research, the GRA has created the world’s largest database of environmental solutions for the restaurant industry.
The GRA completes environmental site assessments and provides cost-benefit analyses. GRA Consultants help member restaurants proceed through the GRA's Environmental Guidelines by working with manufacturers, distributors, utilities, government agencies, and waste collection companies.
